more about labview

Objective :
(i) To complete the LabVIEW program.
(ii) To improve the knowledge about LabBIEW
(iii) To study about LabVIEW database

Method:
(i) Firstly, I do some reserach on LabVIEW on the youtube.
(ii) Then, I try to apply it on the LabVIEW software guiding by technician.
(iii) Next, I try the example given in the LabVIEW software.]

Conclusion:
WEEK 6 - By this week, I tried to figure out how my LabBIEW will look like. This time I try to learn step by step of this software. Firstly, I was introduced the basic system of this software. Shown in Figure 1 is the first page of LabBIEW  where it contain block diagram and front panel. Block diagram is the page where we can put the design for our system for example we put the graph to measure the current/voltage or we can put multimeter to measure the voltage and current. Front multimeter is the place for us to monitor our system. However, during my learning time, error is occur where I can not proceed the next step. It occurs when I tried to pick the voltage in DAQ acquire list, its show that that the wiring connection in DAQ do not appear. So, I have to take another option by using PC in lab. According to Mr.Azman, the LabBIEW that I have installed did not match to the DAQ panel. In addition, he said that LabBIEW software also can interface to the internet like what my project require but I have to study more about it with my advisor. Last but not least, I have to complete my hardware first before I can proceed with the interfacing with the LabBIEW and also internet.

install and learn labview

Week 5....
Objective :
(i) To study how to use LabVIEW
(ii) To study the performance of the device
(iii) To test the LabVIEW

Method :
(i) First, I have to install the LabVIEW software in my computer (window XP is applicable)
(ii) Then, I have to setup the hardware to make sure it can match with this system.
(iii) Follow the instruction inside.

Result :

As a conclusion, for this week, I have uploaded the LabVIEW in my laptop. So that, I can learn and started using this software for my FYP. I also get guidance from BMI technician which is Mr. Azman Alias. He will teach me how to use this software more details. I also take an initiative to search by my self at youtube how the connection. http://www.youtube.com/user/Labview# . Figure above shown above is the preview and sample of the LabBIEW. I really hope that my FYP will improve week by week. In Shaa Allah :)

mechanical project progress

WEEK 4
This week I have been  mechanical work for RSA project. After 3 day working  for this project  as cutting and welding to make spring prototype for  replacing absorber  vehicles.I  was replace the spring vehicle to spring mixer  food (eggs) ,this case to make the reading process easy  when analyzing RSA project soon.there are  some problems such as searching for suitable iron and place. This project are mostly  50done and the process will continue in the next step.for the rack method I using bicycle chain to moved the pinion(freewheel).

analysis about my electromagnetisem

For this weak i have done my part about how a magnetic field will interact with an electric circuit to produce an electromotive force (EMF). It is the fundamental operating principle of transformers, inductors, and many types of electrical motors and generators. Figure 1 shows the animation of the Faraday’s Law.

rack and pinion

The rack is attached to the outer tube of the shock absorber. As the outer tube of the shock absorber moves up and down it give a reciprocatory motion to the rack which in turn rotates the pinion. Then the pinion is coupled to the alternator which in turn rotates it and produces electricity.

battery charger

On 27th January 2013, I already bought my equipment at Jalan Pasar which is solar charger and battery.  Like I have been suggested by my advisor, Sir Basri, I bought the solar charger which 1Ampere in current and 12V in voltage. I match it with the 12V/2.6A battery. The technician said it suite as long as the solar charger can have atleast 13V input (it will be proven later after next experiment on battery).

Figure 1 shown the solar charger is charging and for figure 2 discharge. As shown in Figure , I also have made some experiment to test the solar charger and the battery either it can perform or not. It proven that both of my equipment running well. It can turns on the lamp with 0.12A.

Now, I have complete the 3rd stage in my experiment. After this, my advisor suggest me to do another experiment on battery. First, to know how much the solar charger needs (input voltage) to charges the battery. Another one is, try to reduce the voltage of the battery from 12V to maybe 11V and observe the capacity of the battery. Either the battery can charge by the solar charger or not.

Eventhough I have face some problem to construct the circuit at first sight, but with the help of my advisor, BMI's technician and friend, I have solve the entire problem. I really hope my project can finish before the dateline. Hope all is well :)

                                                                           figure 1
figure 2

As a conclusion, before I charges the battery, the capacity of the battery is 12.66V (Figure 1). After I discharge by using lamp and motor in Figure 2, the capacity of the battery is decreasing until 12.60V. It shows that the battery will started reduce but only a little bit. After I recharge the battery, within 60 seconds it rises rapidly as much 13.07V. For the first sight, I wondering why the solar charger is keep charging even though the battery is full enough ? But after discussion with my advisor, he explain that our solar charger (SC1201L) using is stop charging at 14.4V and it is stop discharge at 10.4V. That is mean the battery cannot supply the load if the capacity is less than 10.4V. Overall, my project is still on track and hopefully all is well :)

equipment operation

WEEK 3 - On 27th January 2013, I already bought my equipment at Jalan Pasar which is solar charger and battery.  Like I have been suggested by my advisor, Sir Basri, I bought the solar charger which 1Ampere in current and 12V in voltage. I match it with the 12V/2.6A battery. The technician said it suite as long as the solar charger can have atleast 13V input (it will be proven later after next experiment on battery).
my adviser advise me to focus about the big of motor to make sure the absober should be conducted as a suspancion. The big  motor can given more good result.i also make a analysis about some rack and pinion.
